COLDWELL BANKER/FIRST REALTY IN VILLA RICA
Virginia Westlake and the folks at Coldwell Banker/First Reality in Villa Rica offered to sponsor CCHS at their
semi-annual 50-family yard sale on September 13. The proceeds from the renting of yard sale spaces were donated to the Humane
Society, and we were invited to have our own "white elephant" table as well as a refreshment booth as fund raisers.
Thank you very much!
VILLA RICA GOLD RUSH VOLUNTEERS
Many thanks to Jo Ann and Peter Burns for bringing their beautiful therapy dogs, Pilot and C.W., and to Kim Ludeman
from Kritter Korral for bringing her three pygmy goats, Nicole, Bailey and Oreo. In addition, to help us raise funds, Bark
Avenue Pet Salon donated a free grooming/shampoo; Four Paws Resort donated a 2-night boarding for some lucky dog; Becky
Mistretta donated a 5 x 7 pet portrait; and the West Georgia Spay/Neuter Clinic donated a free male cat neuter. Our special
thanks for those great donations!
SARAH'S BAKE SALE
Sarah Landman held her 6th bake sale to benefit CCHS and Carroll
County's homeless animals on Saturday, June 7, from 11:00 till 2:00.

Donors to our Bluegrass Festival Booth
The following friends helped us raise funds for CCHS programs by donating
items for our booth at the 18th Annual Bluegrass Festival at Gold Dust Park
on Saturday, April 26:
Emmylou Harris
The Suggins Brothers
Keary Crisp and Ballew's Music in Carrollton GA
The University of West Georgia's Public History Department
The Steep Canyon Rangers
We are very grateful for their support!
Anna Wolford and her friends
Anna recently had a birthday party and asked all her friends to donate
to CCHS instead of giving her a gift. Anna's thoughtfulness resulted in a gift of
$320 to the CCHS foster program. This money will be used to pay for medication, spay and neuter
surgery, and vaccines for animals that CCHS rescues from the county shelter. Many thanks to Anna and her
friends and a belated "Happy Birthday, Anna!"
Georgia Renaissance Festival 2007
The Georgia Renaissance Festival donated 500 VIP complimentary tickets to the
Carroll County Humane Society to use as an extra incentive for people to make appointments
to have their animals spayed and neutered at the new West Georgia Spay Neuter Clinic.
This gift is valued at $8,475.

Bruster's Old-Fashioned Ice Cream & Yogurt
Bruster's at 1202 South Park Street in Carrollton adopted CCHS during the month
of June 2004 - collecting donations from their customers and hosting
a foster dog adoption night.
Wal-Mart of Villa Rica
Wal-Mart on Highway 61 has donated
bonus grants to the Carroll County Humane Society for five years in a row.
The Warren P. and Ava F. Sewell
Foundation
The Sewell Foundation has helped us immeasureably in our efforts to
promote the spaying and neutering of companion animals to combat the problem of pet
overpopulation. Thanks to their generosity, CCHS was able to initiate
the Sewell Foundation Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Certificate Program in 1999
and to carry on the program till the present time.
PetSmart Corporation and
the Douglasville and Newnan PetSmarts
PetSmart has provided the Society with many opportunities to raise money for our
projects and programs. In addition, they offer space in their store on Sundays for
CCHS foster animals to meet and often find a new home with caring individuals and families.
The Animal Jam Bands and Coordinators
The Humane Society is very grateful to the following bands
who came together to plan and carry out the Animal Jam concert at the Corner Cafe on
February 16, 2002: Dysfunktion Junktion, Axis II, and The Fiascos. We also thank
Wal-Mart in Villa Rica for matching the amount of money that we collected
at "The Jam".
Cathy Meigs
Cathy donated a handmade quilt and pillow shams with a dog and cat design
for the Humane Society to raffle as a fund raiser in December 2001.
Molly Grizzard and Publix
Supermarkets
The Society received a donation from Publix because Molly
Grizzard, a young volunteer at the Shelter, chose The Carroll County Humane Society as
the charity to receive matching funds in a contest she won.
The Zachariah Foundation
The Zachariah Foundation chose CCHS as one of the recipients of its
fund-raising activities in 2000. Through their contribution, CCHS held a
conference in May 2001 entitled FirstStrike. This educational program
helped make local law enforcement and social service groups aware of the
connection between animal abuse and child and domestic abuse.
