The Carroll County Animal Shelter is closed to the general public until Monday, March 30th. PLEASE NOTE: The Carroll County Humane Society does not own or operate the county shelter. It is a part of county government. We support them in a variety of ways, mainly by holding off-site adoption events and publicizing adoptable animals on our website.
The animals housed at the shelter are safe and being cared for by shelter employees, who are still working. IMPORTANT: Animals can still be adopted! People interested in adopting a specific animal (check out who’s available on our website) can call the shelter (770-214-3590) to make an appointment. During this period, the adoption fee is “name your own price.”
Visitors who want to exercise the animals will not be able to do so until the shelter reopens to the public. There is no intake except for emergencies. For further information, call the shelter at the number given above.
