Santa Paws will be visiting the Carroll County Humane Society headquarters this weekend—Saturday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 1. He’ll be available for photos with pets from noon until 4 each day and no appointment is necessary. He’ll return again on the following weekends— Dec. 7th and 8tth as well as Dec. 14th and 15th.

For over a decade, the Carroll County Humane Society has been hosting Santa Paws photo sessions. Santa has met and posed with pets of all shapes and sizes, from tiny teacup Yorkies to massive Great Pyrenees, from cats to guinea pigs, cockatoos to bearded dragons. Santa has only been bitten once in all those years—by a chihuahua. His largest photo session involved seven dogs. Probably his most unusual photo session involved a tiny snake and a hermit crab.

The Carroll County Humane Society headquarters is located at 102 Tuggle Street. That’s on the corner of Tuggle and Maple St., across Maple from American Pie and the Squire Shop and across Tuggle from Perpetual Motion bike shop. Additional parking is available in the large parking lot on Maple Street behind the CCHS building.

These photo sessions raise funds to support the work of the humane society. A single photo in a cardboard frame costs $5 and a USB drive with all the photos from your pets’ session is available for $12. The most popular purchase is a combo pack of a drive plus one photo for $15. There’s also a great bargain available—clients can bring their own jump drives and CCHS will load the photo session onto the drive for only $8,
